Air Source Heat Pumps

Heat Pumps in Somerset

That Free Your Home From Fossil Fuel Prices.

Air source and ground source heat pump systems designed around your property, your lifestyle and your long-term energy goals. No pressure. No standard packages. Just honest advice and heating systems designed to perform.

Designed Around Your Home

Heat Pumps Are Not For Every Property. That Is Why Design Matters.

One of the biggest problems in the heat pump industry is the idea that every home should have one.

A heat pump is not a magic box. Its performance depends on the property, its insulation, its heat loss, the existing radiators, hot water requirements and how the home is used.

Our role is not to convince you to buy a heat pump. It is to determine whether one is genuinely right for your home. If it is not, we will tell you.

Lower Exposure To Fuel Prices

Reduce your dependence on unpredictable gas, oil and LPG prices by moving more of your heating demand onto electricity.

More Consistent Comfort

Enjoy gentle, stable heating throughout the day, with fewer cold spots and less dramatic temperature fluctuation.

A Future-Ready System

Replace an ageing boiler with a heating system designed to remain relevant as the UK energy landscape changes.

Better Use Of Solar Energy

Connect your heat pump with solar panels and battery storage to use more electricity generated by your own property.

Heat Pump Problems Are

Design Problems.

When homeowners have a poor heat pump experience, the equipment itself is rarely the main problem. Issues are more commonly caused by incorrect calculations, undersized radiators, unsuitable controls, poor commissioning or expectations that were never properly explained. A well-designed system should deliver consistent temperatures, dependable hot water, comfortable rooms and predictable performance.

  • Accurate Heat Loss Calculations

Every room is assessed properly so the system is based on measured demand rather than assumptions.

  • Correctly Sized Radiators

We review your existing emitters and identify where changes may be needed for efficient low-temperature heating.

  • Simple, Intelligent Controls

Controls are selected and configured around how you actually live, not around a generic manufacturer setup.

  • Professional Commissioning

The system is carefully balanced, tested and explained before it becomes part of your everyday home.

Heating Designed For Real Homes

Every Home Is Different, Every System Should Be Too

Air Source Heat Pumps

A practical low-carbon heating option that extracts usable heat from the outside air and works well across many existing homes.

Ground Source Heat Pumps

A highly efficient long-term solution that uses stable ground temperatures and buried pipework to heat the property.

Existing Homes

Many older and existing properties can use heat pumps successfully when insulation, heat loss and radiators are assessed properly.

Rural Properties

Reduce reliance on oil and LPG deliveries with a heating system designed around rural properties and off-grid energy needs.

New Builds

Create an efficient heating system from the beginning, with emitters, controls and hot water designed to work together.

Renovations And Extensions

Plan your heating alongside insulation improvements, new rooms and wider renovation work rather than treating it as an afterthought.

Solar-Powered Homes

Store surplus solar electricity during the day and use more of your own generation after sunset.

Designed As One System

Your Heating System Should

Not Work In Isolation.

Heat pumps run on electricity. Solar panels generate electricity. Battery storage keeps that electricity available for later.

When these technologies are designed together, they can reduce dependence on imported energy and give you greater control over how your home is powered and heated. Rather than installing separate products that happen to share the same property, we look at how the complete system works together.

That is where JellyWatt differs. We do not simply install heat pumps. We design integrated home energy systems around the way you live.

Still Have Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about setup, pricing, and how everything works.

Will My House Be Warm Enough?

Yes, provided the system is designed around the actual heat loss of the property. Correct sizing, suitable radiators and proper commissioning are essential.

Can I Keep My Existing Radiators?

Possibly. Some radiators may already be suitable, while others may need to be replaced or resized. We assess each room individually.

Do I Need Underfloor Heating?

No. Many successful heat pump systems use radiators. Underfloor heating can work extremely well, but it is not a requirement.

Will A Heat Pump Work During Freezing Weather?

Yes. Modern heat pumps are designed to operate in temperatures considerably colder than those normally experienced across the UK.

How Much Does A Heat Pump Cost?

The cost depends on the property, heat loss, required equipment and any radiator or cylinder upgrades. A survey allows us to provide an accurate recommendation.

Can A Heat Pump Provide Hot Water?

Yes. A correctly designed system provides both space heating and domestic hot water using an appropriate hot water cylinder.

How Long Do Heat Pumps Last?

A well-maintained heat pump can provide reliable service for many years. Ground loops can remain usable considerably longer than the heat pump equipment itself.

Can Heat Pumps Work With Solar Panels?

Yes. Solar panels can help supply some of the electricity used by the heat pump, particularly when the wider system is designed and controlled intelligently.

What Grant Funding Is Available?

Eligible homeowners may be able to access support through government schemes. Funding and eligibility can change, so we explain the current options during your assessment.

How Long Does Installation Take?

Timescales vary according to the property and system. A straightforward air source installation may take several days, while larger or ground source projects require longer.

What Our Customers Say

Martin S.

We needed our existing array of solar panels removed and reinstalled during a roof tile replacement. They were efficient, came when they said they would come, and were very efficient.

Toby C.

The installation crew was prompt, respectful, and clearly knew what they were doing. They kept the worksite clean and walked me through every step. Now that the system is up and running, I’m completely self-sufficient — and it feels amazing!

Rachael Hansford

Thanks to JellyWatt Renewables for the installation on our double garage last October. It was a quick and easy process and we're delighted with what we've generated over the winter. Now the brighter weather is here, things are looking even better.

Colin Fricker

We have just had our EV charger put in by JellyWatt Renewables and not only did they up it up efficiently, Linden made sure to add our phones to link the device. It is working perfectly and only using solar or the cheapest electricity rate. They made sure to fit it carefully to a difficult uneven wall too! Thank you so much - I highly recommend them!
